Welcome to Polotype. Here you’ll find letters, words, and type, illustrated. ¶ Antony Hare is an illustrator whose work regularly appears in Esquire, BC Business, and Maisonneuve. His work has also been published in The New Yorker, Boston, Toronto Life, Forbes, and Fortune. He’s illustrated for the Globe & Mail and the National Post. Working primarily in black and white, Antony illustrates at the meeting point between portraiture and caricature. In addition to his portrait work, he illustrates letters and words as Polotype and food and drink under the Le Gastro label. Prints of his work are available for purchase through Illoprints. ¶ Antony’s work was featured in the Luerzer’s Archive 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide 07/08 and he’s been awarded by American Illustration, Creative Quarterly, Illustrators 52, and the Society of News Design. ¶ You can email ant at siteway dot com.
